The trademark cannot be just a drawing. To be able to call a graphic symbol a “Trademark” it must be a sign, with a meaning. In this case, its meaning must relate directly or symbolically to whatever it is trying to represent and, at a more abstract level, imply a series of concepts and values which we wish to be related with the company. In addition or course it must have a unique form, because this sign must be the principal symbol of the company identity.

With this in mind, we developed for POLIALCO S.A. the new trademark presented here, bringing together the following fundamental values:

  • Company identity: The main concept of the trademark is the letter “P”. Being able to read this letter is the core feature of the trademark. The specific graphical treatment implies other connotations such as originality.
  • Company individuality: The graphical treatment of the letter “P” provides a new and original shape (the company is unique) with an advanced style (the company is a leader in its field).
  • Relation to the business: POLIALCO S.A. is fundamentally a chemical company. The trademark evokes the interplay of spherical volumes just as one sees in models of molecules. In addition, the reference to these models suggests that the company is involved in research, i.e. in innovation.
  • Dynamism: We transmit this idea through the specifics of the design: The letter “P” moves, suggesting three dimensions where there are only two, providing a sense of dynamism and evolution.
  • Other properties of the corporate identity: The trade mark, apart from the unique features of leadership, industrial sector and innovation, transmits - through its virtual interplay of volumes - the idea that the company goes beyond what is perceived at first sight.
